    Description

    AllStar Garage Door opener CAPACITOR
    190-005017
    43-52 MFD
    250VAC
    50/60 Hz
    Motor starting capacitor
Some signs that the capacitor is bad:
    Fluid leaking from the capacitor
    Burn marks on the capacitor
Burnt smell coming from the capacitor
Caution, capacitors store and hold energy. Use an insulated screwdriver to bridge between the two sets of posts to bleed off this stored energy.
Hold onto the insulated part of the screw driver when you do this. It only takes a second to bleed off the energy, the capacitor is then safe to remove from the unit.
