Vintage 80's 1984 Shoei TJ-201V Metallic Silver Gray Motorcycle Open Face Helmet

Vintage 1980's 1984 rare and hard to find silver / gray metallic open face motorcycle helmet with visor in a non-matching Shoei box. This is the first motorcycle helmet in the world with ventilation implemented into it. A sticker on the back of the helmet reads "Snell 1980 DOT". The chin strip is stamped "SHOEI TJ-201V". The large 13 3/4" long box reads "Shoei, Safety Helmet, Snell Approved For Safety, Item RF-800, Color P. White, Size M, Inch 7 1/8 - 7 1/4, Lot No. 36047, Made On Japan". A faded sticker reads "Honda East Yamaha, Part#: 01-38075 HC: Desc: Shoei RF-800 Pearl Wht Md, Source: RO, Price: 259.95". I do not think that this is the original box for the helmet. The helmet has stickers on the inside that read "Production No. SB Oct 17, 1984, Inspector: K. Morooka, Serial No. A2171945, M 7 1/8 - 7 1/4, Q Member 7180496, SHCA Approved Quality" and many warning stickers. The helmet has the original black plastic visor and chin straps with buckle as pictured. The helmet shows minor use and storage wear with great patina. The chin straps show use wear as pictured. The top foam padding and foam padding behind the cloth liner inside is deteriorated and falling apart. They will need to be replaced. The helmet is sold as is
