Vintage AMERICAN OPTICAL Bakelite Safety Goggles Motorcycle Near Mint

For sale, one pair of vintage American Optical safety goggles, perfectly suitable for wear as motorcycle or work goggles.
The model name "AO duralite-50" is impressed in the inside of the eye cup as shown.
The condition is near mint, as shown in the photos.  The lenses are completely scratch free, likely never worn, with the American Optical logo etched into the edge of each.
The frames are bakelite which was factory carved and shaped to provide an anatomical, smooth fit.  The nose bridge chain is adjustable.  These goggles are extremely comfortable to wear.
The only imperfections are slight chipping to the rubber sleeve which covers the nose bridge, and the strap which is brittle due to age.
Included with the goggles is a length of brand new elastic strap as shown in the last photo which can easily be added to the goggles by prying open the metal tabs on the existing strap, installing the new strap, and re-installing the tabs. With a new strap these goggles are like-new and ready to wear.
